The Election Commission is set to release the draft electoral rolls for West Bengal on Tuesday, after finishing the Special Intensive Revision exercise. The draft lists will be open to the public both online and at the local level so that voters can confirm entries, identify errors and seek corrections before final publication.
According to the Election Commission, voters can check the West Bengal draft electoral rolls online through eci.gov.in or the chief electoral officer’s portal, ceowestbengal.wb.gov.in. Users need to search using the elector’s name and the EPIC number, after which the voter’s details will appear on the website.

If these websites are slow or not reachable, voters can turn to offline options. Booth Level Officers appointed by the commission will keep printed copies of the draft rolls for every polling station. Booth Level Assistants representing political parties can also help electors locate names, understand changes and start correction or inclusion requests.
Along with the main list, the commission will publish a separate roster of names removed from the rolls. This list will help families track deletions that may follow deaths, migration or other reasons. Officials expect voters to check both entries and deletions carefully and raise objections within the allowed period.
What To Do If Your Name is Missing From West Bengal SIR Voter List 2025
People who cannot trace their names in the draft electoral rolls, especially against family records from the 2002 lists when the last Special Intensive Revision was held in Bengal, will be called for hearings. During these sessions, electors must explain the gap and show that they are Indian citizens who meet voting eligibility rules.
For these hearings, the Election Commission has listed specific documents that will be treated as valid proof. These are meant to establish identity, age, residence and citizenship. Electors can produce government identity cards, education records, land or housing papers and other documents issued before 1987 by recognised bodies such as banks, post offices or local authorities.
