MOPM & 3DAG
The female candidates should have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination from any recognized Institution are eligible for MOPM & 3DAG courses in Women’s Polytechnic, Kolkata (English must be one of the subjects of study at Secondary and Higher Secondary level for MOPM Candidates)
Pharmacy
The candidates should have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination in General Stream Course with Physics, Chemistry & Biology or Mathematics.
PDPC
Candidates should have passed 3 years Diploma in Chemical Engineering from any Polytechnic recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education & Skill Development (WBSCT&VE&SD) or its equivalent OR B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry from a recognized University obtaining at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST category) in the qualifying examination for PDPC Candidates.
PDME
Candidates should have passed 3 years Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering / Computer Science & Technology / Computer Software Technology / Medical Laboratory Technology from any Polytechnic recognized by AICTE or WBSCT&VE&SD or its equivalent.
PT – ME, EE, CE
Candidates should have passed Madhyamik or equivalent examination. ST candidates who are citizens of India and dominated in West Bengal for at least last two years from the date of application are eligible for admission to these courses.
PT – MIN
The sponsored candidates from M/s Eastern Coalfield Limited (ECL) should have passed Madhyamik /Secondary/equivalent examination with Physical Science and Mathematics and must possess at least 3 years post qualification working experience in Mining related jobs as on the last date of submission of application.

Reservation of Seats
Application Fee
Seat Reservation for SC, ST and Physically Challenged category candidates in Government Level Institutes will be as per existing norms of the Government.
1. Rs. 500/- 2. Rs. 250/- for Kanyashree Candidates Candidates should have submitted the application fee by cash along with the application form.
Selection Process
For the courses of Diploma in Pharmacy & Part Time Diploma in Mining, there will be either centralized or institute-level Common Entrance Test. Questions will be of MCQ type consisting of Mathematics (50 Marks), Physics (15 Marks), Chemistry (15 Marks) & General Knowledge (20 Marks) for Part Time Diploma in Mining course and Mathematics (30 Marks), Physics (20 Marks), Chemistry (20 Marks) & Biology (30 Marks) for Diploma in Pharmacy course. Entrance Tests will be held as per schedule date. For all other courses, selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained by the eligible applicants in qualifying examination.
Admission Procedure
Publication of Merit List
Admission of candidates to the Institutions mentioned in the official notification will be made from the merit listed candidates through centralised / Institute level counselling.
The Council will publish a consolidated Merit List which will be displayed (in the respective Institutes in case of MOPM, 3DAG, PDPC, PDME, P/T-ME, EE, CE & P/T-MIN & in the Council’s website in case of Pharmacy) as per requirement, but shall not communicate the result to any individual applicant.
Document Required for WBSCTE Counselling & Verification
1. Mark sheet and Admit Card of Madhyamik or equivalent examination. 2. Mark sheet of H.S. (10+2) or equivalent examination (for Pharmacy, MOPM & 3DAG). 3. Mark sheet of Diploma / Degree (for PDPC & PDME) 4. SC / ST certificate issued by the Competent Authority as per existing rules/norms of the Government of West Bengal. 5. PC (Physically Challenged or Handicapped) certificate issued by the Competent Authority as per existing rules/norms of the Government of West Bengal. 6. Medical Certificates obtained from Registered Medical Practitioner or Medical Officer of a Government Hospital. The certificate must possess registration number and seal of the medical practitioner/officer. 7. Original Identity Card, NOC from the employer and other testimonials related to Employment (for Mining course only).
