It is affiliated with the University of Calcutta. In 1970 at the instance, initiative and financial contributions of Sri Ranadeb Chaudhuri and his family members and with active co-operation of other legal luminaries, who formed the first Governing Body of the College, Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri College of Law was established by CHAUDHURI FOUNDATION TRUST.
