Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) HPPSC Inspector & Extension Officers Exam Syllabus 2019 Important Information for Candidates
1. Exam Duration three (3 hours) 2. Total marks 200 (General Knowledge) 3. The question will be Objective type 1. History, Geography and Socio-economic development of Himachal Pradesh (60 marks)2. Knowledge of current events of national and international importance and such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subjects (60 marks)3. Modern History (from 1857 onwards) of India. Indian Culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India, and Disaster Management. Environment and Gender issues and teaching of Mahatma Gandhi (80 marks)
1. Paper I – English (Conventional): 150 Marks 2. Paper-II – Hindi (Conventional): 150 Marks a. Translation of an English Passage into Hindi b. Explanation of Hindi passage in Prose and Poetry in the same language c. Composition (Essay, Idioms, Correction, etc). 3. Paper III – General Knowledge: 200 Marks No candidate would be considered to have qualified the Written test unless he obtains 40% marks in aggregate in all papers and at least 35% marks in each paper. The evaluation of candidate shall be based on the parameters as specified in Appendix-III which is mention in official notification.
