The Vahan Loan Sahay Yojana is a vehicle loan assistance program under the Self-Employment Scheme launched by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat.

This scheme aims to empower individuals from the unreserved category by providing financial assistance for the purchase of vehicles for self-employment purposes.

It is implemented by the Gujarat Unreserved Education and Economical Development Corporation (GUEEDC) and provides on-road cost financing for vehicles such as rickshaws, loading rickshaws, Maruti cars, jeep taxis, and other commercial transport options.

Key Benefits of the VLS Scheme
Financial Assistance: Covers the on-road unit cost of the vehicle (two-wheeler or four-wheeler) required for self-employment.

Interest Rate:
> 5% per annum (simple interest)
> 4% per annum for women applicants
> Loan Tenure: Repayable in equal monthly installments (EMIs) over 5 years
> Vehicle Ownership: The vehicle must be hypothecated (mortgaged) to the corporation until full repayment.

Who is Eligible to Get a Loan
> Applicants must fulfill the following conditions to apply;

> Must be a resident of Gujarat

> Must belong to the unreserved category

> Age should be between 18 and 50 years

> Must have a valid driving license

> The applicant’s annual family income must not exceed ₹6,00,000

> Willing to repay the loan in EMIs over 5 years

> Only one member per family is eligible

> Only 5 beneficiaries per village will be selected

> Click Register to complete the process.

Application Process
> Log in using your User ID, Password, and Captcha Code.
> Read the scheme details and click OK.
> Confirm or update your permanent address.
> Click Save & Next, then upload the required documents.
> If corrections are needed, click “No, Cancel”. If all is correct, click “Yes, Submit”.
> Save the application and note your Application Number.
